As GPS use becomes more common place in  walking and trekking, it is important for users to understand the basic concepts of set-up and use to ensure they receive the correct information when they need it.  This workshop is for recreational walkers and mountain professionals alike.  We cover GPS types, basic set-up, map datum's, weypoints, routes & tracks, map types, electronic compass, calibration, trip computer and using profiles.  The workshop will also cover the use of Viewranger on mobiles phones.
