About the Event
This course takes place over two day, day 1 training you in all the techniques required to navigate to NNAS Bronze level and day 2 split between further training and assessment. You will be trained to navigate on gentle rolling terrain in lowland areas with well defined boundary features where navigation will be primarily on roads, tracks and well defined paths. We will train you to: set the map, recognise and use land features, estimate distance, measure distance using pacing and timing, gain an understanding on map scales, read a grid reference and create simple strategies to navigate to your destination. You should be comfortable of two full days of walking and standing. (walking approximately 10k, per day)
