Abseiling Adventure with Awesome sea views

Enjoy the exhilaration of an amazing sea-cliff abseil.

Until recently abseiling has been the domain of experienced climbers using abseiling as a swift escape mechanism from mountains, and for climbers to access the bottom of climbs on inland and sea crags/cliff. However, in the last 10-15years abseiling has become increasingly popular as an activity in its own right enjoyed by all sorts of people for a variety of reasons for example fundraising, exposure and exhilaration, and as a component in team and self-confidence/esteem boosting programmes.

Our exhilarating abseil takes place off the sea-cliffs at Peacehaven and is 35 metres (115ft) high. This is roughly equivalent to the length of four double-decker busses queued behind each other!

The abseil is set-up and managed by qualified and experienced instructors and from arrival every aspect of the abseil from start to finish will be explained to you. All equipment is provided, and advise on what to wear will be sent to you prior to your abseil day. An individual certificate with a photo of the abseil, length, location and date completed is also included. Photo’s and a video of you abseiling can also be included as an optional extra.

COVID-19 compliance and risk reduction. We take Covid-19 very seriously at Outdoorhire for the protection of both our clients and Outdoorhire staff. The activity necessitates the instructor(s) and clients getting quite close to one another for safety and attachment reasons and so all our instructors will always be wearing face visors or masks, and gloves.  There will be hand sterilisation gel available at the top and bottom of the abseil, and new face masks available for client use at any time. All equipment between abseils will be wiped down with sterilising spray, including any barriers at the abseil launch platform. Because the rope itself cannot be effectively sterilised leather gloves will be available for each client to use for the duration of the session, which will then be sterilised after use.

Abseil session duration: The abseil session is for 4 hours and based on a max of five people in the group you should be able to fit in a minimum of two abseils. Morning Abseil session is between 8am-12midday.  Afternoon abseil session is between 12midday and 4pm.

Minimum 1 person up to a maximum of 5 people per four-hour session. See pricing and packages structure below.

Group package price = £180. This amazing experience can be yours for as little as £36 per person (Minimum group size = 3 people/maximum group size = 5).

Individual price is £80 for a 4-hour session. If three or more individuals booked separately, we would explore with you whether you would like a package price. This would be dependent upon all participants doing the abseil on the same day.

All abseil dates are dependent on the prevailing weather conditions on the day and consequently we reserve the right to postpone the abseil up to and including the day of the abseil to another mutually agreeable date. It is our intention to honour all bookings made.

Refund policy.

In the unlikely event that Outdoorhire CANCEL the abseil Outdoorhire will refund all fees paid.

Full refunds will be given if bookings are cancelled by the client a full 7 days prior to the scheduled abseil date (NOT including the scheduled abseil date).

If a member of a booking (any booking) becomes ill (any illness) in the 7-days leading up to the scheduled abseil date Outdoorhire will reschedule the abseil to a mutually agreeable date. Includes combined groups.
